Glenhof

Location:

Property Description

Built around the turn of the century, although it has been cosmetically 'tweaked' over the years, the main building remains in tack.

What does Glenhof have to offer. Grand entrance ways, vaulted ceiling, heavy timber beams, plaster picture rails, an internal courtyard with klompie brick paving, a number of internal staircases, including a spiral staircase to the rooftop, stone corbel mantel piece, lead window panes, pillar and archway windows and doors. All the external doors and window have a shutters and with the original shutter dogs to hold them open and well-kept wooden floors.

You will find elements throughout the house that have been touched by the decades that it has 'lived' through, an Art Deco bathroom with a pink bath, French toile de jouy wallpaper in one of the bedrooms, Delft tile clad fireplace just to name but a few. And thats just the interior!

The exterior in a word is Grand. There are areas that are rundown but in a sense add to the charm and the character of the property. The outbuildings that were built in the 50's have pretty much been left for many years and are mostly derelict, same applies to the tennis court and swimming pool.
